British Secretary of State William Hague said that Iran is provoking an arms race in the Middle East, a more risky one than the Cold War of the USSR and USA, 1news reports.
Obtaining nuclear weapons would inspire other states in the Middle East to develop nuclear potential. Hague noted that their intelligence services found 6,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment in Natanz, violating UN resolutions.
The British secretary of state warned Israel against attacking Iran. It should use sanctions and economic pressure, he said.
