The police have detained two militants suspected of blasts in Makhachkala in September 2011, Interfax cites Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee, as saying.
The suspects were part of Eldos Zulfugarov’s religious extremist group. They are accused of murder, terrorism, and murdering police officers.
The two militants are accused of murdering officer Haji Alibegov. The militants’ group is suspected of organizing the terrorism attack in Makhachkala on September 21-22, 2011, which killed 2 people and left over 80 injured.
