About 30 workers are going on striking in Sochi in spite of threats against them. It was reported by “Echo Moskvy” radio quoting the participant of the action Askorby Tseev.
According to him the main engineer of “Olympstroy” have the day before demanded the builders to vacate the trailers which are occupied by them. Some workers were frightened that they will be evicted and proceeded to business. As Tseev reports the former contractor hasn’t paid the salary for already three month and the new doesn’t say anything. In the company “Moskonversprom” they were told that money are transferred on time and to the question where are they now the Public prosecutor’s office should give the answer.
Earlier was information that more than 100 builders are striking in Sochi for more than to days and they demand the offset of monthly debt of salary. Almost all strikers aren’t inhabitants of Sochi but have come from other regions of Russia and post-Soviet states. Among them there are many Chechens and Ossetians.
They work not for the state “Olympstroy” but for it’s contractor – Moscow company “Moskonversprom” and they build not the sportive objects but the houses for the inhabitants of Imeretinskaya lowland whose land was confiscated for the needs of Olympics.
