Chinese Vice President arrives on official visit to Turkey

Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping will arrive tonight to Turkey on an official visit, TRT reports. According to the statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry the Vice-President Xi Jinping will stay in Turkey for three days.

According to the statement, Xi Jinping will hold meetings with the Speaker of Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Cemil Cicek and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The participants of the meetings are expected to discuss bilateral issues and regional and international issues.

The past year was marked by a 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The 2012 was declared the Year of China in Turkey, and the 2013 – the Year of Turkey in China.
