Russian, Israeli foreign ministers discuss Middle East

 

Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has given a telephone call to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

They exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and ways to resolve conflicts. The sides discussed the Israeli-Palestinian settlement. Russia expressed readiness to assist in negotiations within the group of four mediators basing on the international law.

The ministers discussed practical aspects of Russian-Israeli relations. They approved intensive cooperation in realization of bilateral agreements reached in Moscow in December 2011, within the framework of the 9th session of the Mixed Russian-Israeli Commission for Trade-Economic Cooperation.
