Four political forces have united around billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, Trend reports.
Ivanishvili said that the Republican Party, Free Democrats of Irakly Alasania and the National Forum of Kakha Shartava have joined his Georgian Dream for the parliamentary polls of 2012.
The coalition promised to introduce multi-party democracy, should they win. It will develop liberal institutions, enforce national unity and form a system allowing the nation to administrate the country.
The new coalition promised integration in the EU and NATO, participation in major economic and peacekeeping processes, dialogue with Abkhazia and South Ossetia and rapprochement with Russia.
The coalition promised democratic and fair elections in the future.
Ivanishvili noted that Koba Davitashvili’s People’s Party, Zviad Dzidziguri’s Conservative Party have joined the coalition.
The billionaire requested journalists to refer to them as a single coalition called Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia. The coalition will be managed by the Political Council, consisting of Ivanishvili, David Usupashvili, Irakly Alasania, Kakha Shartava, Zviad Dzidziguri, David Berdzenishvili, Aleksi Petriashvili and Nodar Khaduri.
Alasania said that Ivanishvili is a symbol of the Georgian dream, because he left Georgia and became a billionaire.
