A meeting commemorating the Soviet deporation of Chechens and Ingushetians was held today in Nazran, Yuga.ru reports.
The tragedy happened 68 years ago, when the Soviet authorities decide to deport thousands of Caucasian people to Kazakhstan.
Such actions were not rare during the Stalin era. Caucasian people as well as Germans were forced to leave their homes and move to far provinces of the country.
