Israel and Turkey no longer brothers-in-arms

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak has nullified the license for exports of reconnaissance systems produced by Taasia Avirit and Elbit for Turkish Air Forces.

Turkey and Israel signed a contract on sales of video systems for Turkish F-4s in 2008, planning to ship the systems in 2011. The process was postponed to April 2012.

Turkish media said that cancelling of the deal means the systems will not arrive in April 2012. Turkey will demand a break fee and then address the International Court.

The Israeli Defense Ministry’s actions are clear, the two states are no longer allies. Israeli military believe that their technologies would end up in Israel.
