The head of militants involved in the attack on Yevkurov and organizer
of the terrorist attack in Nazran has been seized, ITAR-TASS reports,
citing the director of the FSB (the Federal Security Service)

Ingush President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov insists that the militant,
nicknamed ‘Magas’, should be sentenced to life, RIA Novosti reports.
Yevkurov confirmed that the arrested militant participated in an
assassination attempt last summer.

The arrested underground resistance leader of the North Caucasus, Ali
Taziyev, was transported to Moscow. He is charged on 3 counts:
organization of an armed formation (part 1, article 208 of the
criminal code), armed revolt (article 279) and illegal arms
trafficking (part 3, article 222)

Taziyev has been on the wanted list since 2004. He was captured by the
FSB on June 9th on the territory of the North Caucasus Federal
District. Taziyev planned and organized terrorist attacks and also
recruited people for the attacks.

The director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, told Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev that Taziyev had organized a joint attack with Basayev
in 2004, was involved in organizing the bombing of two passenger buses
in the Stavropol region and was involved in kidnapping relatives of
the former Ingush President, Murat Zyazikov. In 2009 he organized
explosions in buildings of the Interior Ministry Agencies in Nazran,
