Former Georgian President Eduard Shevarnadze blamed incumbent President Mikheil Saakashvili for the deaths of 15 Georgian soldiers in Afghanistan, Vzgliad reports.
Saakashvili sent the soldiers to serve as part of NATO forces in Afghanistan. Shevarnadze said that if Saakashvili hoped to join NATO in such a way, it would be fruitless.
925 Georgian servicemen are operating in Afghanistan, there will be up to 1675 serving this year.
