Vestnik Kavkaza reported that the special services of Ukraine and Russia prevented terrorists’ plans to assassinate Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Information on their detention was published in February. They were caught in Odessa by the Alpha Special Group of Ukraine.
Alexey Vlasov, Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza, noted that a lot of work has been done since the first detentions on January 4. The assassination attempt of one of Russia’s most popular politicians, especially in the light of the upcoming presidential polls on March 4, was partly planned to destabilize the situation in Russia. Clarifications from the Kremlin and special services are needed, there could be political sensations.
