Resorts of Ingushetia will be "completely safe for tourists" in the
future, the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, said today,
ITAR-TASS reports.
Yevkurov assured that the entire resort area of Ingushetia "is already
fully secure," but comprehensive measures are needed to strengthen
it.
According to Yevkurov, "security is question number one in the
world, but if we think only about the safety of citizens, then the
development of tourism and job creation will be secondary." Therefore,
all actions for the development of tourism in the country, including
security, will be carried out together.
In his turn, first deputy director general of the company "Resorts of the North
Caucasus" Yuri Tyrtyshov noted that the project of the North Caucasus
tourism cluster is "a factor of security in the region" because local
people will be involved in the construction and maintenance of
facilities and, therefore, "no one will be tempted to damage
the process."
