Russia has urgently upgraded the radar station on the Jabal al-Harrah mountain, south of Damascus, which will allow to organize a more effective warning possible of possible military attacks on Syria from Iran and "Hezbollah", Israeli media reports.
The Russian early warning radar system, equipped with advanced technology and controlled by Russian experts, used to cover only the northern Israel up to Tel Aviv, as well as north western part of Jordan and Iraq. After the conucted procedures, the radar coverage has extended on the entire territory of Israel and Jordan, the Gulf of Aqaba and northern Saudi Arabia.
Now Russia is able to track the movement of Israeli and US ships and aircrafts in the eastern Mediterranean down to Cyprus and Greece, the Israeli media reports.
