The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria sentenced both attackers of the Baksan Dam to 14 years of prison today, RIA Novosti reports.
The dam was attacked on July 21, 2010. Assailants killed two police officers and set 5 bombs equivalent to 1.5-3 kg of TNT. Three generators were destroyed. Damage was worth about 800 million rubles.
Ruslan Orshokdugov and Rustam Seyunov were detained for the assault. They were caught in October 2010.
Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Sydoruk approved the accusation note against Murat Shogenov and Timur Shibzukhov in July 2011. They were accused of banditism, sabotage and illegal arms trafficking. They have not admitted guilt.
