There will be no 'orange revolution' in Russia - expert

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin took a day off and met with representatives of the All-Russia People’s Front, members of his regional campaign headquarters, political scientists and regional journalists as part of his campaign for the presidency, RIA Novosti reports.

Speaking to the assembly, Putin condemned opposition claims that the elections won't be free as 'undemocratic.' He also said that the opposition may use the situation to destabilize the political system.

VK asked Andrey Kazantsev, fellow of the Moscow State Institute for Foreign Affairs' Euro-Atlantic Security Center, to comment on the issue.

There will be no 'orange revolution' similar to that in Ukraine, the expert believes. It's almost certain that Putin will win the first ballot.

The opposition will protest, but there will be no actions as massive as that in December, Kazantsev says.
