Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will visit Latvia in spring, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said, News Georgia reports.
Vashadze is on a visit to Baltic states. He met Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics and discussed Saakashvili’s upcoming visit. The sides agreed to host a business forum where Georgian and Latvian entrepreneurs would have an opportunity to determine priority spheres of cooperation. The exact date of the visit has not been announced yet.
The foreign ministers discussed bilateral cooperation and Georgian ties with the EU and NATO, development of the South Caucasus Region. Vashadze will then visit Estonia and Lithuania.
