Tengiz Pandaria, a bodyguard of Abkhaz President Alexander Ankvab, has died at a hospital this morning, RIA Novosti reports.
The security officer was injured on February 22 when Ankvab’s convoy was shot at from a grenade launcher and a machine gun on the Gudauta-Sukhumi road. A bodyguard died and two were injured at the scene.
40-year old Pandaria had numerous projectile injuries and brain injury. He had two children and awife with 8-month pregnancy.
