Istanbul will host the second Friends of Syria Conference in late March to discuss the situation in Syria, 1news.az reports.
Turkey has not invited French President Nicolas Sarkozy, yet, invited Russia and China, the two states opposing interference in Syrian domestic affairs.
Turkey calls Sarkozy persona non grata for his bill on criminalization of denial of the Armenian Genocide. France will be represented by French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe.
About 60 participants, including Syrian opposition, attended the Friends of Syria Conference in the capital of Tunisia on February 24-25. Russia and China did not attend it, although they were invited. Attendance would mean approval of resolution of international issues without concern of the UN Security Council. The first conference was to coordinate the anti-Assad coalition.
