Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Vladimir Putin on becoming the Russian President, Trend reports.
Aliyev said that the victory demonstrates support of the program aimed at political and social stability, economic growth, development of democratic institutions, enforcement of security and order, protection of spiritual and moral values and norms of the society.
The Azerbaijani president emphasized that friendly, good-neighbour ties based on multi-century old traditions between the two states are developing in all aspects.
Ilham Aliyev wished Putin good health, joy and welfare and success in making Russia a prosperous state.
