Prokhorov takes second place in Moscow and first in the UK


Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is leading the presidential
election with 46.95% of the vote after the processing of 100% of the ballots in
Moscow. Putin is followed by Mikhail Prokhorov, who collected 20.45% of the
votes according to the official website of the Moscow Electoral
Commission.


In Moscow's elections third place was held by the leader of the Communist
Party, Gennady Zyuganov, with 19.18% votes. He is followed by the LDPR
leader, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who received 6.3% of the votes. The leader of
the "Fair Russia" party, Sergei Mironov, received only 5.05%.

According to the Moscow Electoral Commission, the turnout at the polling
stations in Moscow on March 4 amounted to 58.18%.

Presidential candidate Vladimir Putin, on the basis of more than 99.99% of the
ballots gained 63.6% of the vote in Russia altogether, Gennady Zyuganov -
17.18% of the vote, Mikhail Prokhorov - 7.98%.

Mikhail Prokhorov received the majority of votes in Britain, scoring 57.86%, and was
followed by Vladimir Putin who gained only 21.78%, RIA Novosti
reports.

Despite the pouring rain, a record number of voters - 4.867 thousand -
took part in the elections in Britain.
