Between 300 and 600 people according to different estimates who remained
on Pushkinskaya Square after the official time of the rally ended,
are currently being pressed by special police forces, TV
broadcasting channel "Dozhd" reports. The majority of the people
participating in the rally have already left the square.
According to the estimates of the organizers, about 20,000 people came to the
rally. According to the Moscow Interior Ministry count, the number of
protesters was around 14,000.
A candidate for president of Russia, Mikhail Prokhorov, gave a
speech at the rally: "I thank you for not being afraid today to come
here and thank those who, despite the fact that the elections were
unfair, gave me their votes. I am indebted to you," Prokhorov said,
speaking at the rally, RIA-Novosti reports.
Not all who came to the Pushkinskaya Square expressed their support for
Prokhorov. Cries of "Give us a million" were heard from the crowd.
