Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has met Chairwoman of the Belgian Senate Sabine de Bethune and members of the House of Representatives, Armenpress reports.
Sargsyan emphasized interest in expanding ties with Belgium, a state with advanced economy and a good example for reforms in Armenia. He compared the territories of the two countries.
Both officials noted the need for more active work after formation of parliamentary groups in early 2000.
Sargsyan thanked Belgian MPs and underlined contribution Belgium made by recognizing the Armenian Genocide.
