United Russia will introduce candidates to replace Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachyov, head of the municipal district of the Tuapsinsky District of the region Vladimir Lybanev and head of the Kuban State Agrarian University Alexander Trubilin, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the party Boris Gryzlov said, RIA Novosti reports.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in February that Tkachyov would most likely be appointed for another term. Tkachyov is governing the region which will host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. he has been at the position for over 11 years.
Medvedev dismissed Governor of the Primorsky Territory Sergey Darkin in February. Vladimir Miklushevsky, head of the Far East Federal University, has been the Acting Governor. The candidates to replace Darkin are Vadim Dymov, CEO of Dymovskoye Kolbasnoye Proizvodstvo (meat industry), Vladimir Miklushevsky, the Acting Governor of the region, and Irina Skorobogatova, Vice Governor of the Primorsky Territory and head of the administration office of the region.
