Putin’s mouthpiece denies rumours about government reshuffles

Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, has described information on government reshuffles as rumours, RIA Novosti reports.

The only obvious information about appointments is that they will be made by Dmitry Medvedev until May 7 and by Vladimir Putin after May 7.

Prime Minister Putin, a member of United Russia, won the presidential elections with 63.60% of the vote. Gennady Zyuganov, the Communist Party leader, got 17.18%, independent candidate Mikhail Prokhorov got 7.98%. Vladimir Zhirinovskiy the LDPR leader got 6.22% and Sergey Mironov, leader of A Just Russia, got 3.85%. The inauguration of the new president is planned for March 7.

Experts forecast further political reforms and minor staff reshuffles.
