Erdogan condemns Syrian leader for ongoing violence

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned the international society for reluctance while Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad continues violence against own people, RIA Novosti reports.

Erdogan said at a session of the Justice and Development Party that failed resolutions on Syria give Assad power. He urged the government of Syria to open humanitarian corridors to bring aid to people in need, including the population of Homs, and to start realizing the Arab League’s plan.

The PM noted that Turkey continues diplomatic efforts to settle the Syrian crisis. Istanbul will host the second Friends of Syria Conference in late March.
