Kazakhstan appoints representative to Arab League

Kazakh Ambassador Berik Aryn has met Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Arabi in Cairo and presented a message from Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazkhanov for accreditation of a representative to the league, Trend reports.

The secretary general thanked Kazakhstan for support of Palestinians and UN resolutions on the Middle East problems. He expressed interest in Kazakh experience in maintaining inter-ethnic and inter-religious consent and peace.

The sides discussed the Economic Forum of Arab and Middle Asian States + Azerbaijan to be opened in Riyadh in early October 2012, initiated by Saudi Arabia, and opening of an office of the Arab League in Astana.
