Police have found 15 kilograms of plastic explosives in a dig in Istanbul, as part of an operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), Hurriyet Daily News reports today.
Istanbul police's anti-terrorism department launched two digs in Istanbul's Zekeriyaköy and Bayrampaşa districts.
Fifteen kilograms of plastic explosives were uncovered in the dig in Bayrampaşa, the report said.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
