The Russian Drug Control Directorate in Dagestan opened on the 1st of July 2003. It has registered 9612 criminal cases in 9 years, with over half of them grave and exceptionally grave crimes, RIA Dagestan reports.
The directorate initiated about 10,000 criminal cases. There have been no acquittal sentences. 871 cases were initiated in 2011 with no acquittals. 346 people were jailed for drugs.
310 organized criminal groups were sentenced. 2670 people were jailed in 9 years. The police confiscated about 1172 kg of drugs.
