Transport of gas extracted in the Cyprus to Europe may become impossible, Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said, Trend reports.
The Cyprus gas field is developed with Israeli assistance. Turkey does not want to allow gas transport through its territory unless Israel apologizes for attacking the Freedom Flotilla and deaths of 9 Turks on May 31, 2009.
The Greek gas field at the Cyprus contains about 250 billion cubic meters of gas. It is planned to be liquefied and transported to Europe through Turkey.
