Iran and Russia have discussed regional security, Trend reports.
Russian Assistant Secretary of the National Security Council Yevgeny Lukyanov met Iranian Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bageri in Iran on Monday.
Lukyanov also plans to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi. They will discuss the situation in Afghanistan and Syria, Iranian nuclear program and other issues.
