Egypt's Lower House demands government's resignation

The Egyptian People's Assembly (the Lower House of the parliament) has
initiated a motion of no confidence in the government over the
NGOs issue, the official news agency MENA reported on Sunday, RIA-Novosti
reports.
The Lower House recommended at a session on Sunday to discuss the
government's handling of the NGO case, calling for a vote on rejecting the
US aid over the case and demanding to determine who should be responsible
for lifting the travel ban on the accused NGO workers.
Fifteen NGO workers who were accused of operating in Egypt without work
permits and receiving foreign funds illegally escaped Cairo on March 1
after the travel ban on them was lifted.
Some MPs demanded the resignation of the government, saying that the government
failed to manage the country or issue urgent legislation to guarantee the
independence of the Egyptian justice system, according to MENA.
