Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the Astarinsky District on Tuesday and attended the opening of the local Olympic sports complex and a reconstructed central hospital, Trend reports.
Aliyev was informed that Jabrail Gasanov and Sona Ahmedly won bronze medals at the European Free Wrestling Championship in Istanbul. Fikret Gafarov, champion of Azerbaijan in track and field 16 times, thanked Ilham Aliyev for efforts in developing sports.
The president also met the staff of the reconstructed medical center.
