Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed the National Plan to Combat Corruption in 2012-2013 at the Anti-Corruption Council today. The plan includes control over expenses of functionaries, monitoring of their operations with real estate, securities and transport means. The president emphasized that functionaries will present information on sources of income and spending, RIA Novosti reports.
Medvedev added that information must be provided if a deal struck by a functionary or his family exceeds three-year income.
A functionary unable to explain sources of income will either be fired or deprived of purchased property. A criminal case would be initiated if any facts of illegal income are found.
Composition of the bill will be concluded by March 22. A roundup will be organized at the upcoming session of the governmental working group.
