Azerbaijani Ombudsman proposes establishing new committee in Parliament

Azerbaijani Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova proposed the creation of the Committee for Family, Women and Children in the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

Suleymanova, speaking with this proposal on Tuesday at a conference on children's rights, believes that the establishment of this committee will further strengthen efforts to protect the rights of women and children.

Creating of such a committee is important, Suleymanova told reporters. "It would be very helpful if the legislation contained provisions relating to children, women and family" Suleymanova added.
