Three militants have been killed in Kabardino-Balkaria, ITAR-TASS reports.
The police tried to stop a black Mercedes near the village of Baksanenok on the border of the Prokhladnensky District. A grenade was thrown from the vehicle. An ensuing shootout lasted for 10 minutes. No police officers were injured.
Three militants were killed in the vehicle. The police found a submachine gun, two pistols and two bombs with timers. One of the militants had a grenade.
