The Russian Ministry of Justice has sent a letter to the country's Supreme Court, saying it repeals its demand to liquidate the Republican Party, the court's press service informs.
The decision to liquidate the party was made due to the small number of its members by a Russian Court, but was then annulled by the European Court for Human Rights.
The Russian Republican Party is the former Democratic Group of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which emerged during the Perestroika period. The party is currently headed by Vladimir Ryzhkov and is a member of the joint opposition People's Freedom Party.
