Colonel Ibragim Bekiyev, First Deputy Chief of the State Border Services of Turkmenistan and head of the General Staff, has been dismissed, Trend reports.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President and Supreme Commander of the Turkmen Armed Forces, ordered the prosecutors to punish officials for shipping banned medicine.
The government said that the law enforcers registered cases of military assisting in shipments of forbidden medicine and narcotics.
