Sochi Olympiad reason to abolish EU-Russia visa regime

The 2014 Olympic Games that will be held in the Russian city of Sochi provide a good motive for the European Union to abolish the visa regime with Russia, Trend cites the European Parliament's special rapporteur for Russia, Hannes Svoboda, as saying.

If the parties cannot reach an agreement on abolishing the visa regime, it will be a good idea to ease the visa regime during the Olympic Games, the EU official says.
