Russia and Kazakhstan discuss Caspian sea's legal status

A meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybai has been held in Moscow today, Trend cites the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying.

Special attention was devoted to implementation of the decisions made at the Third Caspian Summit in Baku in November 2010, the report said.

The exchange of views confirmed the similarity of the two countries' positions on the Caspian agenda, their desire to further develop the comprehensive cooperation in the Caspian Sea and achieve a
rapid settlement of the legal status of the Caspian Sea, the report said.
