A Latvian delegation with Vice-Colonel Verner Sturmanis and head of a section of the Skilobenus border guards of the Vilakas Department, Voldemars Saykans, has arrived in Georgia to meet the local border guards, Trend reports.
The border services of Georgia and Latvia will exchange experience in monitoring land borders and passport controls, according to the cooperation plan of 2012.
The patrol police of Latvia met border guards of Tbilisi International Airport. The delegation also plans to visit the Third Border Police Directorate (Red Bridge on the border of Azerbaijan) and observe the situation.
