The Dagestani police initiated a criminal case on murder of imam Gitimagomed Abdulgapurov and his guard in an explosion in Buynaksk. He was threatened before death, RIA Novosti reports.
Ablast happened on the Streets of Shamil and Chkalov in Buynaksk at 6 am. Abdulgapurov and his guard died.
The police say that the imam received several threat notes so a police officer was guarding him. A bomb with projectile elements was set on his way to the mosque.
The police initiated a case for murder, attack on police officer, illegal production of weapons and deliberate demage to property.
