French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe will attend the meeting of "Friends of Syria" to be held in Istanbul on April 1, Trend reports.
The Spokesperson of the French Foreign Ministry, Bernard Valero, on Friday confirmed that Juppe will be in attendance at the Istanbul meeting.
Valero stressed that "ending the violence", "sending humanitarian assistance that could reach Syrians" and "opening up the path for a political solution" were three priorities of the international community concerning Syria.
Earlier in the week, the U.S. Department of State announced that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would attend the Istanbul meeting on April 1.
