President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan supports international community`s efforts on nuclear security

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has addressed the 1st Plenary Session of Nuclear Security Summit, which is continuing in Seoul, Republic of Korea, Trend reports.
In his speech, President Aliyev said nuclear terrorism was a priority issue for all world countries, including Azerbaijan. The President said Azerbaijan respected international resolutions on nuclear security. President Aliyev said Azerbaijan was fulfilling those resolutions, adding his country supported and would always support the international community`s efforts on this front.
On the issue of nuclear security in the region, President Aliyev said Armenia`s Nuclear Power Station, which was built in 1976, was already outdated and does not meet modern standards and is located in a seismic zone.
The Azerbaijani leader stressed the importance of the Summit, expressing confidence it would be a success in terms of conducting discussions on nuclear security challenges.
