Russian engineers hold drills in Armenia

Russian engineers in Armenia have started training at the Kakhmud range, News Armenia reports.


About 100 servicemen and 20 units of equipment will be used. They will practice handling of explosives, fortification construction and trench digging.


Engineer groups have cleared 100 km of roads of snow. They train at Kakhmud and Alagyaz.


The 102nd Russian military base was built in the north of Armenia in 1995 as part of the CIS missile systems. The base is under command of the North Caucasian Military District of Russia.
