Iran condemns Persian Gulf Countries’ missile defense shield

The head of the Foreign Policy and National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, called launching a missile defense shield among the Persian Gulf's Arab neighbors against Iran a challengeable decision, saying the United States has been tricking regional countries with Iranophobia to sell them American weapons, Trend reported.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Saturday in Saudia Arabia that the U.S will work with Gulf Arab nations to strengthen their shared defenses against threats including Iran, Reuters reported.

Hillary Clinton launched plans for a Gulf missile shield against Iran and ways to press Tehran's ally Syria to stop killing Syrians.

"The commitment of the United States to the people and the nations of the Gulf is rock-solid and unwavering. Our strong bilateral relationships are a rock of stability in the region," Clinton said in prepared remarks delivered at the inaugural meeting of a new U.S.-Gulf security forum.
