Russian citizen arrested in Georgia for illegally entering Abkhazia

The Border Police of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs have
detained a Russian citizen, Bella Vekua, on charges of illegally entering

Abkhazia from the Russian side of the river Psou, News-Georgia
reports.

If Vekua is found guilty she will face a fine or a term of
imprisonment of two to four years.

The law "On Occupied Territories" in Georgia came into force in October 2008.
