Georgian political parties will receive half a million lari for electoral campaigns, Trend reports.
Amendments were introduced to the law on political associations. Political parties will receive finances for agitation on TV.
Financing will be determined by the number of votes received by the electoral subject at the previous elections. They are multiplied by 3 and divided by the number of political associations of an electoral subject. The sum will not exceed 600,000 lari.
According to the law, political parties have the right to make gifts, but their total value should not exceed 5,000 lari.
The current currency rate is $1 = 1.65 lari.
