Georgian Agriculture Minister Zaza Gorozia said that they plan to irrigate 20,000 hectares and build drainage for 4,000 hectares this year, Business Georgia reports.
Over 600 tractors will be used, platforms will be set for 40,000 farmers to study advanced gardening technologies giving 2.5 times more harvest.
The minister says that amendments to laws lift VAT payments for farmers’ products, meet and cheese sold for processing.
