Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan believes that the Eastern Partnership program is aimed at weakening Russia, News Armenia reports.
He reminded that Armenia cooperates with the NATO, EU, US, Iran, China and Georgia. The Republican Party is part of the European Peoples’ Party. The PM called Russia a strategic partner.
Eastern Partnership is a project on rapprochement of former USSR states Ukraine, Moldavia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus. It was presented by Polish foreign minister at the Council of EU with Swiss attendance on May 26, 2008. Prague hosted a foundation meeting on May 7, 2009.
The Armenian prime minister said that Yerevan offers Russia territory for construction of a new radar if Moscow and Baku fail to reach an agreement on the Qabala radar.
