Serbian President Boris Tadic announced his resignation today, RIA Novosti reports.
Speaker of Parliament Slavica Dukic Dejanovic is expected to set presidential polls for May 6, as well as parliamentary and municipal polls.
Analysts say that Tadic’s resignation is to enforce positions of his Democratic Party at the upcoming parliamentary polls. His party is falling behind, according to opinion polls.
